The last month of the semester is always cruel for college students. Professors are going crazy. You have to do tons of projects, write papers and studying for finals. It is pretty stressful, isn’t it? I had the chance to experience this rush. Actually, I am in this situation right now. And I am so overwhelmed. Literally, I am in a bad mood all the time and I am just worrying about everything because I want to finish with everything in advance so that I won’t have to worry about them anymore.
That’s why I made the decision to try out different kind of things to release my stress. Here are some ideas that you could try when you feel like school is too much and you just want to take a break!
1. Yoga
As everyone knows yoga is very good exercise to clear your mind, focus on yourself and your body. You can find lots of videos on YouTube how to do it by yourself.
2. Drawing
For me drawing is a very effective stress relieving activity. When I draw I only focus on the lines, the perfection and I can forget about everything.
3. Cleaning
You know the saying: clear desk, clear mind. When I feel frustrated or I can’t focus I usually clean my desk or the whole room. Sometimes I rearrange the room a little bit and it helps me a lot.
4. Exercise
It is a good way to forget about your duties for sure. If you hop on the treadmill and run a little bit you are going to feel so much better. Not only because you didn’t have to focus on your studies, but also because you actually did some workout.
5. Walk
If the weather is nice, you should go outside and take a short walk. Nothing is more relaxing then just walking, feeling the sunshine and sort out your thoughts.
6. Snack
Under snacks I mean something healthy like fruits, nutrition bars and not junk foods or candies that you find under your bed!
I hope everyone's semester is going well so far. We have three more weeks of school, we can do it! Good luck on finals, finish strong!
