With finals coming up and everyone stressing over their grades, many people don't realize how easy it is to actually survive finals week. Everyone wants to study, but also wants to hang out with their friends, eat a decent meal, and party once in a while. Little do people know you can do all of it and still have extra time for yourself. The following is a list of ways to help you survive finals week.

1. Sleep

As much as you don't want to sleep because of all the papers and stuff you have to do to prepare yourself for finals, sleep is the #1 thing on your list that needs to get done. The goal here is to sleep the number of hours you need to function and when you wake up, to take care of everything that needs to get done. The library is the best place to go because it is quiet and will help you in the long run.

2. Go to the library

Going to the library might seem like a problem because it is starting to get cold outside and everything, but trust me on this — it is the best option. Even if you have a single or don't live on campus, going to the library will 100 percent help you out. If you don't want to go alone, there always is one kid you know that is willing to get their work done and will go to the library with you.

3. Study breaks

When it comes to finals week, no one eats a normal meal. The best way to avoid this is when doing work, take a study break. Some colleges may allow you to get your food to go, so you could always bring your food back to your room or wherever you're working and eat and then resume working. If that is too much for you, you could always eat in the café so you have some relaxing time before you get back to work. If you need a breather and want to get away from the college altogether, go out to eat or order something and sit in your room with a movie on and eat.

4. Partying

Now that finals are among us, most people don't want to party as much. However, there are always a few students who don't care and will throw parties anyways. The best way to go to the parties and have time to study is to not go all weekend. Most college students go to parties Thursday, Friday and Saturday but the best thing to do is go Friday and Saturday. with doing this you are leaving Thursday all to work and relaxation. You could even spend some of Saturday getting work done. A good tip would be to set an alarm for Saturday morning so you can wake up and get some work done. Once you're satisfied with the amount of work completed, you can go back to sleep so you're well rested for the night. If you're one of those kids that doesn't party as much, go to one party per weekend. Most of your friends should be okay with that because school always comes first.

5. Study groups

Study groups are a great way to help you get work done. If you have a few friends in the same class or even taking the same class, the best thing to do is get them all together and form a study group. Almost every college student wouldn't mind study groups because this means they can get work done and socialize with their friends. The best part about study groups is that once you are all finished, you could all go for a bit to eat and still hang out.

Finals are hard yes, but if you follow these helpful tips you are sure to pass and still enjoy the rest of the semester/year.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
