The Ultimate Fall Playlist

As the leaves are changing and the weather cools down, playlists tend to change.

Now that the leaves are falling and changing colors and the weather is starting to cool down everyone is getting into the swing of the fall season. Each season usually has songs that tend to go on with the season and actually tend to make you feel more like the season in some type of way. Different artists from different genres have different ways of expressing the seasons and different genres tend to go with different seasons better. During the fall season I see more grunge/alternative music and country explaining it better and being more type of fall than other genres but, that also doesn't mean I don't like listening to songs from other genres during the fall because I am all about the variety. Some of these songs are newer and some are older. Therefore, my ultimate playlist for fall includes:

1. "Sweater Weather" by The Neighbourhood

I think the title really says it all.

2. "Tear In My Heart" by Twenty One Pilots

Or anything by Twenty One Pilots honestly. This specific song came from the opinion of a friend. But, this song is sort of a pumped up song to listen to on any type of day whether you're out with some friends or enjoying the cool weather and changing leaves alone.

3. "Saltwater Gospel" by Eli Young Band

This song is more of a soul song and also is a little of a pump up song. You just have to listen to it to understand.

4. "International Harvester" by Craig Morgan

What doesn't say fall more than talking about tractors and farming?

5. "The Boys of Fall" by Kenny Chesney

This song talks about the boys of fall obviously meaning the boys that play football and the game nights and team.

6. "Closer" by The Chainsmokers (Feat. Halsey)

White girl anthem, that's all.

7. "My Way" by Calvin Harris

When you drag your boyfriend anywhere during the fall to do the cute fall things, you're doing it your way.

8. "Sunday Morning" by Maroon 5

Instead of rain falling it's leaves.

9. "Autumn Leaves" by Ed Sheeran

I mean... the name.

10. "u only call me when its raining" by gnash

This one was suggested by a friend also. This is really a song for the person that may be having a hard time going through a relationship or anything. It's a good song though.

11. "Wake Me Up When September Ends" by Green Day

I mean come on, you have to understand this one.

12. "It's Time" by Imagine Dragons

Even as the leaves start changing and falling, you won't be changing yourself.

If you haven't heard these songs go ahead and go to youtube and take a listen. I'm sure one of these songs is bound to speak to you and is something you will enjoy putting on your fall playlist!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
