With "Game of Thrones" ending Season 6, there is a lot to discuss. With so many opinions on the show and everyone willing to share, why not add a couple more opinions from two super fans of the show. Enter Josh Cenderelli and Jack Dawson (not the one from "Titanic").
Josh Cenderelli: Question, what did you think of Season 6 of "Game of Thrones?"
Jack Dawson: My dude, this season was amazing. I have never been so stoked on a season of any show before. From the very beginning, I was excited to see how the Jon Snow cliffhanger was going to be resolved. While it happened exactly as I thought it would, I was still in nervous anticipation waiting for it to happen. Also we finally got to revisit my guy, Bran Stark, who was straight chilling with the Three-Eyed Raven under the weirwood tree. This was my favorite story line to follow this season because we finally got some answers to the real questions. First, I'd like to take a second to pour one out for Hodor, he died a true hero's death. With Bran tapping into the weirwood network, he found out the truth behind who Jon's mother is. All of that said, this was the most agonizing and hard to watch season yet, but in the best way.
JC: Yes dude! Season 6 was honestly the greatest season of anything I have ever seen. From the revival of Jon Snow to Cersei destroying half of King's Landing, it could not have been better. While I am a little confused with what is going to happen with the ironfleet, I am sure that the next war to come is going to be absolutely crazy.
JD: OK, so after this wild season, who are your top five characters?
JC: My top five from five to one are as follows.
Five: Sandor Clegane (the Hound). He has had such a wild ride from serving Joffrey, to kidnapping/training Arya, to getting back on the face of the earth after losing in battle to Brienne of Tarth. He is one of the few characters that has his honor in line.
Four: Lyanna Mormont. The 10-year old leader of minor house Mormont could not have lived up to Old Bear's legacy any better. She not only never wavered her loyalty, but also delivered an amazing monologue to crown Jon Snow King of the North.
Three: Davos Seaworth. The trusted adviser of Jon Snow, he is someone who's opinion is not only highly respected, but highly important. His advice has helped Jon Snow reclaim Winterfell, and also allowed for Melisandre to revive Jon Snow.
Two: Jon Snow (Targaryen/Stark). One of the greatest characters ever created, Jon Snow has struggled to gain honor his entire life, being believed to be a bastard of Eddard Stark. Jon Snow is now King of the North.
One: Who else but Tyrion Lannister. Peter Dinklage puts on the best performance I have ever seen. Tyrion Lannister is my favorite character ever created. A dwarf who has a penchant for wine and great advice — it does not get better. Not to mention he led the defense of King's Landing, slapped Joffrey many times, saved Catelyn Stark from a tribesman, brought us Bronn of the Blackwater, helped Danerys understand things she desperately needed to and has given us some amazing one liners and monologues.
JC: Favorite moments from Season 6?
JD: Is it cheating to say episodes 9 and 10? There wasn't a bad moment in either episode. Battle of the Bastards was the most realistic battle I've seen on TV. It was brutal, it was uncomfortable to watch and it was suffocating. Plus, the payoff of watching Jon brutalize Ramsey, and Sansa using his own hounds to finish him off, the definition of savage. Big shouts to my giant, Wun Wun — RIP — you will be missed. Winds of Winter was the biggest payoff yet for "Thrones" fans. While we took some major L's this week including Margery, Loris, their dad (but I don't care enough to remember his name), my man Kevan, Tommen (well kinda) and the High Sparrow when Cersi decided to go all Mad King on the Sept. All that aside, watching Jon be named King of the North, finding out Lyanna was his mother and finally, Danny is heading West.
Addition, watching Arya avenge the Red Wedding was amazing. Walder Frey took the biggest L of the season right there.
JC: What do you think is coming next?
JD: I mean if I had to guess, I'd say Danny comes into Kings Landing and gives Cersei the ultimate heat check. Danny has three dragons, 150,000 Dothraki, The Unsullied, the Dornish army, a pissed off Tyrell army and Tyrion's battle-mind. Cersi has the Mountain and the Lannister army. Cersi is going to be decimated. Dany is going to be the queen of everything south of the Riverlands, and Jon stays King of the North. I say that is what happens next season. The last season will be all of Westeros fighting the White Walkers, who bring down the Wall in the last scene of the next season. The series ends with humanity suffering great losses, but the snow starts to melt as dreams of spring begin again.
JC: You pretty much put it all into perspective. However, the ironfleet is a huge wildcard. They are going to be battling against Dany. I know that they will have to battle the White Walkers, but you also have to remember this is going to be a pretty long winter. I think after everything is said and done, Jon Snow and Dany end up together with Dany ruling in King's Landing and Jon in the North, and Yara ruling the Iron Islands. That still leaves so much to the imagination. What happens in the rest of Essos? Will we ever see the fabled Jade Sea? What about Sothoryos and Ulthos? What happened to Valyria? Answer all my questions... please.
