In my opinion, there are two types of people in this world. The first consist of those, no matter what genre is for you, who feel the music and their notes through their bones. The others, however, see it as a means of entertainment and not a necessity. Me, I fit in with the first type. Even now, I can almost promise that whenever you read this that I have some form of music blasting and controlling how my day will progress and how I will feel. Throughout time, there have been many people who feel as I do. And here are their words that resonate with me on a day to day basis.
1. "Music to the soul is what words are to the mind." - Modest Mouse
From time to time I do in fact find myself at a loss for words. Sometimes, it is hard to explain what the feelings inside of you mean or how they are impacting you. Sometimes, a song can do the explaining for you.
2. "Music is the strongest form of magic." - Marlyn Manson
Unfortunately, if you haven't felt this feeling before I might just come off crazy. But, hopefully, you know just what I mean. There are songs that stir a feeling inside that is unexplainable. It transforms your day, week, or even longer. It gets under our skin and drills deep into our bones and stays there, keeping us under its spell.
3. "Life seems to go on without effort when I am filled with music." - George Eliot
This is something I think we can all relate to. If that's listening to music during a long car ride or while cleaning your room, a good tune makes the time pass by faster.
I know that only putting three quotes here may seem trivial but, I believe that all three speak for the feelings I have while listening to music. Music is a lifeline for me and a key piece to who I am as a person.
