Before college, midterms could simply be described as exams in the middle of an academic term. However for a college student, midterms are so much more! Midterms are the bane of our very existence, the thorn on each of our academic roses, and many, many more dramatic things. You get the idea. Just as there are different stages of grieving, for college students there are different stages of suffering through midterms. The four stages are: Denial, Procrastination, Negotiation, and finally Acceptance. Below are some thoughts college students have during the different stages of midterms.
1. Simply, denial.

Are midterms even real? Nah, probably not! Oh, I have plenty of time to study. No biggie, it’ll only take me a couple days. I have plenty of time.
2. PROCRASTINATION!!!!
It's fine, I have time to study. I'll study right after this Narcos/Breaking Bad/ Archer episode. But I’m hungry. I should get something to eat, I wouldn’t want to study on an empty stomach. Then, I'll study after laundry, and after I organize my desk. But maybe I should eat first. Well, I can’t study with a dirty desk. Let me arrange that.
3. Let the negotiation begin!!!

4. Finally, acceptance.
