Summer classes can be a great to fit in extra course and getting ahead in school. Taking them online really can give you the advantage of going home for the summer, working, and still getting in your course work. But it is not without it's problems. Here are 8 thoughts people have while taking summer classes.
1. "I can totally do this."
You start off with the motivation of an Olympian. You are taking these classes for your benefit and you are excited to get a leg up
2. "This isn't hard at all."
You've heard people complain about summer classes, but you're a week in and this feels like a cake walk and you're wondering why everyone doesn't do this.
3. "Wait, it's due when?"
These classes seem to be getting out of hand. You're still doing fine though. You are totally still doing fine...
4. "HOW DOES ANYONE DO THIS?"
You have 3 assignments due this week, a paper, and an exam to study for. Not to mention all the work that goes into it...
5. "What have I done to deserve this?"
Suddenly, it is all too much. You have taken on too much and now you don't want to do anything and you are wondering if any of it is worth it.
6. "Do I even need to stay in college?"
You begin to really wonder how different your life would be without all this school. You begin to really think you could make it in this world without a college degree.
7. " I can do this. I have to be able to do this."
You begin to put your head to the grindstone and try so hard. You will not fail. You cannot fail.
8. "I have survived this, and I am better for it."
It's over. You did it. You will never do it again, but you did it now. Summer classes are done and you can breathe for another few days before going back to school to start regular classes.
