As students, it is impossible to complete our college careers without experiencing those dreaded two-hour lectures. If you have managed this, congratulations, and please teach us your ways. Two-hour lectures are similar to walking toward impending doom with a smile plastered on your face because you know that you are paying for the torture you are about to receive. It doesn't matter what the topic is either. Even if it is your absolute favorite subject, two-hour lectures are still the worst part of the week. And because obviously you can't focus on the content for that long, your mind starts to wander. Here are the thoughts that every student has during a two-hour lecture:

1. Alright, no big deal. Just a two-hour class. I can do this.

2. I'm going to focus really hard today. I bet if I concentrate enough the time will fly by.

3. I'll drink some coffee quick -- just to make sure I can really apply myself and stay awake.

4. Oh, we're starting with a PowerPoint? How original! *Cries*

5. Two minutes in: "I bet it's been like 15 minutes already." *Checks watch, cries*

6. This is almost interesting!

7. Who am I kidding? I'd rather watch a documentary on boredom than listen to this.

8. A documentary on boredom, lol that's a funny thought.

9. Alright, focus. Take some notes. What would Hermione Granger do? WWHGD? I love Harry Potter.

10. *Colors*

11. Maybe I should be an art major. My doodles are out of this world today.

12. I'm so glad I drank that coffee!! Now I am super jittery and have no chance of focusing!

13. BUT BOY OH BOY DO I HAVE ENERGY!

14. Everyone but me decided to skip today. I loathe myself.

15. Oh, you say the kid next to me is gone because he has the flu? Is that what he told you? And you fell for it? You mean I could have done that, too?

16. "Professor, I'm not feeling well."

17. Wow, it's been--35 minutes.

18. I wonder if I'll ever see my family again.

19. What should I do this weekend?

20. Remember when I was eating earlier? I took that for granted. What if I never eat again?

21. I am so hungry.

22. I'll go to the bathroom. That will waste some time.

23. I bet that took like 10 minutes at least. I took the long route there and back.

24. Nope, two minutes.

25. Oh my gosh did the professor just call on me?

26. What did he say?

27. Did I just answer a question? What did I say?

28. Can't let that happen again, I'm really going to focus now.

29. Halfway done! The amount of time I have been in here is the amount of time I have left...that's actually not comforting at all.

30. I have so much other homework to be doing.

31. I mean I wouldn't be doing it, but like I could use this time for something else. Like Netflix.

32. I have stopped thinking. Am I sleeping?

33. Can I sleep with my eyes open? Let's see.

34. Do I really pay for this?

35. Group work. FINALLY SOMETHING DIFFERENT.

36. Wait, what are we doing?

37. Oh my gosh, only five minutes left?

38. We have a test on what?

39. FREEDOM! I need food. I need a nap. Is the sun still out? I've been gone for ages.

40. Oh my gosh. I have another two-hour class. *Cries*

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
