Can I endure this or am I even strong enough?

Maybe I’m going through this for a reason. Do not forget about the big picture. There is a plan, a purpose. Do not give up. Stand Strong. This struggle is not the end. This too will pass. The Best is Yet to Come.

Repeat it until you believe it. Pray for wisdom and guidance. Pray for God’s will to be reveal to you. Pray for a post card with instructions. Pray for God’s will to be done above your own. Read God’s word. Feel the spirit pull. Seek Godly council.

Stop. Relax. It is going to be okay. Humble yourself. Surrender. Your God has a better plan for you then you could ever have imagined. Yes, you are completely let down your plan and your desires are not being fulfilled. This just means you are going to be used in a different way, then you thought.

What you felt is not completely wrong; you felt that way a reason. Whether it is to bring you from the high to the low. Maybe it is to be able to relate to a person on even a deeper level—because you have been through the exact same thing. In this moment, that seems to abstract. Acknowledge this possibility and watch God use you in the very near future.

“No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13 ESV

Are you going to be tempted with the thoughts of “what-if” and did I make the wrong choice? Yeah, maybe. But be reassured there is an escape from those desperate thoughts. God is providing for you. You are strong enough to endure this—don’t be miss lead, your strength might come from breaking down and letting God build you back up. Look to Him. Not by your own means are you strong enough, but only by His power.

You are in a trial. You are being tested; molded into a loyal and faithful child of God. Do diamonds become a gorgeous and rare piece without having to endure Great pressure? You will have to push through this struggle: Do not break down. This will make you stronger—but not if you do it on your own.

“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” James 1:2-4 ESV

Push through not for yourself—but for God’s Glory. Further the Kingdom of God. Let your passion, your desire, your purpose be to bring the Gospel to every end of the earth. Let your struggle, let your success, let everything you do be for God. Love God more than any earthly desire.

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28 ESV

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
