Two months ago you may have made a New Year’s resolution to start working out more, and if you’re one of the very few who have actually stuck with that goal — good for you! However, not everyone feels strongly about going to the gym, but they find it necessary to live a healthy lifestyle. Exercise is good for you, not only physically, but mentally, too. It takes concentration and determination to find a focused routine for a good workout. Most people walk into the gym already in the zone, ready to exercise, but can we really be so sure that’s what they’re thinking? I know I walk in distracted and thinking of seven million different things, it’s not until after I work out that I feel focused. Here are 11 thoughts that go through my mind when I work out at the gym.
1. Why don't I have cute workout clothes?
2. Oh, I know him/her. Please don't look at me!
3. It's only been 10 minutes. *eyeroll*
4. Is that guy OK?
It's definitely not healthy to be breathing that way. Or maybe it's just a technique that I'm not aware of, but if he hyperventilates, I won't know what to do.5. Yes, the Food Network is on!
The only thing saving this workout is the fact that I get to watch people make food right in front of me without the guilt.
6. Is that lady stretching, or did she just break something?
It's one thing to be flexible -- it's another to look like you belong in "The Exorcist."
7. People are totally judging my music.

8. Am I even doing this right?
I'd rather not waste my time unless I'm going to get something out of my workout, so when I someone else is doing the same exercise a little better than I am, I instantly think I must be doing something wrong.
9. The sweat is unreal.
In a place where people are known to give off a lot of body heat, why are they content with just one fan in the back corner?
10. I could be eating pizza right now.
This workout justifies me eating an entire pizza by myself, right?
11. I've got this, just power through!
Just a few more minutes and then I can say that I accomplished a really awesome goal for the day -- also, it means I only have a couple more minutes until I can walk to get that pizza I promised myself.
