When Thanksgiving break comes around, the first thing that comes to mind is food. The next is trying to figure out how to bring some food back to school with you. Besides that, here are a few other thoughts.
Side note: It doesn't feel like Thanksgiving is here. I think the weather is throwing me off a lot because it doesn't feel like November. I remember this time last year, it was colder than what it is now.
1. The semester is coming to a close
Thanksgiving break falls at the right time of the semester. It's a break from a lot of work during the weeks leading up to it, but also a time to relax before final exams. Around this time, I want the semester to slow down because I realize it went by extremely fast. Right after break, there's little to no homework and then it's time to leave again for Christmas break.
2. Depending on how the semester went it can be a time to relax or a time to possibly panic
A time to relax if every class is going well and you feel as if you have nothing to worry about. A time to panic if there's a class that isn't going so well and now you're calculating how many points you need to pass the class.
3. Why can't this break be longer?
Being back home for a while is fun and sometimes I find myself not wanting an extra day. I want an extra day to hang out with the family, watch Netflix/Hulu, and to hang out with friends. I do often think why can't the break be a little longer, but at the same time, Christmas break is a few weeks later and I'll be back again.
