The first week of classes has just finished and if you're like me, you may have found yourself going through a number of emotions. From confusion to dread, I've got them all mapped out for you. Together, we can make it through the rest of the semester.
1. Where am I?
No matter how long you've been attending your school, you still somehow find yourself getting lost and walking into the wrong classroom.
2. Eating alone is weird.
When you suddenly find yourself as the only one of your friends who doesn't have a meal plan anymore, eating becomes a totally different experience.
3. Do I have time to pee before this class starts?
Those 10-15 minute breaks in between classes really make you learn how to manage your time well.
4. How do I get into this building?
Multiple doors, scan doors, stair wells...it's all too much. Thankfully, there's usually someone around who knows what they're doing.
5. Can I park here?
Let's be honest, this is the most important question. Especially if you go to a small school like me where the parking becomes a fight to the death.
6. Why is this syllabus 20 pages long?
You are probably already regretting signing up for this class.
7. When is spring break?
One week of pure bliss and no studying? Can't come soon enough.
8. Is it too early to wear sweatpants?
It's cold, it's early, who doesn't want to wake up and throw on some comfy sweatpants? (Also, prime tool when sleeping in the hallway in between classes.)
9. Also, is it too early to want to skip classes?
After a long break of naps, this is hard to avoid.
10. These lecture notes are so interesting. (Not really.)
They're even more interesting at 9 a.m. when I'm half asleep in class.
11. Only 106 more days of class.
Summer will be here before you know it.
