Moving out and away from parents is one of the most stressful things that can happen to a young adult. You have to learn how to take care of yourself and be able to afford the lifestyle that you maintain and desire. You are moving away from your support blanket — or your safe place, if you will. You are leaving the place you call home with all of your memories in it. From all of your birthdays, holidays, and celebrations; all of your sleepovers and parties were spent there and a short lifetime of memories were made there.

You know all of the little things about your home, like the sounds that the floors make at 2 a.m. when you sneak into the house.

You know how to calm your pets down when you're sneaking out to go to a party.

You know when you have to open the window on the nice days so your parents are not wasting money on air conditioning.

You know all of the great hiding spots for you and your pets.

Your parents' home is always a welcoming home, but by moving out, it means it's not your home anymore. Of course, you're welcomed back, but soon you'll be calling somewhere else home.

Whether you are moving out for college or you just want to be on your own, moving can be scary. Moving out forces you to be independent. You are telling yourself, your parents, and your credit score that you are ready to be on your own. You are able to maintain a life on your own. Although help from your parents will come naturally because they are always there for you, living alone means supporting yourself. It is natural to ask for help or guidance - you'll need it! - but at the end of they day you have to be independent. If parents are paying for your bills or your spending habits, are you really living on your own?

Living on your own is a challenge. It may be a mind game for some, it may be an internal challenge for others. Moving out challenges you to live on your own. You have to know yourself the best you can at this point. You are forced to mature if you already haven't. You have to understand your limits and live within them. Living a lifestyle that you can afford is the most important thing. Too many young adults move out thinking they can live a nice high-end lifestyle, ending up moving back into their parents' house, which is never the plan.

Moving out is a struggle, if you are moving into a dorm, you are still moving away. Although you are guaranteed a place to live, but you have to keep it clean. You have to buy your own items for your room to decorate, as well as other supplies that lead to living comfortably. You have to remember to be safe, remembering to lock your doors, watch your things, and learn who to trust and who to watch out for.

Being independent is the most rewarding part of moving out. You can no longer depend on parents and friends to guide you through life. You can't ask them for money for the mall or for online shopping, that's all on you now. You are labeled as an adult, which has quite a nice ring to it, if I do say so myself! You are taking your next grown up step to starting a family, whether it's with animals, or humans, that is all up to you!

There are great advantages to moving out. You're free! You're finally your own boss! If you want to go to bed at 3 a.m., by all means, feel free to. If you want to blast your music in your home, go for it! Just be careful to not get a noise complaint, you'll probably have neighbors too. You only have to answer to yourself when you are planning dinner too, which might arguably be the best part!

Just remember, moving out is hard for everyone. You're leaving your security blanket to try and make your own way in the world. You are becoming independent, trying your best to earn the label with pride. You have to remember now you are forced to watch your money and know your spending limits. You are now taking the next step to being an adult. Be independent, responsible, and proud of all you're going to achieve! Always watch out and plan ahead, but enjoy living on your own, you earned it. Living on your own means you have a new home, and it's all yours.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
