No other show will ever live up to the glory that "Gossip Girl" was. Our favorite characters had to deal with crazy exes (Georgina), intense and terrible eye makeup (Little J), imposter cousins (Ivy), and well, the struggles of being a socialite on the Upper East Side. But Blair Waldorf had a catchy line for almost every situation, and I'm sure she can sum up what the last few weeks of the school year feels like for college students.
1. Thinking about how productive you plan to be during the last few weeks of school.
Now, if only your dedication would have a talk with your motivation.
2. When the school Wi-Fi and online class portal stop working... and start working again after your exam.
That online study guide is no use to me now. I have already resorted to reading my ancient textbooks by candlelight.
3. When you think about not seeing your group project members for the whole summer.
And your textbooks... and dining hall food... and shuttles. Summer can't come soon enough.
4. When business majors tell you that they're done with their finals and get to start their summer early.
I can't tell if I'm more jealous or sad that I can't join you. I would switch majors right now to get out of these finals.
5. When your friends have to convince you not to drop out and marry rich.
Someone comes through and gives you a pep talk because you're not gonna be anyone's trophy wife. Even though it sounds so tempting. Actually...
6. When someone asks you how finals are going.
Maybe someone will take pity on you and bring you love and support... and Chipotle.
7. When someone brags about how they are acing all their finals.
It's fine, I don't lie awake at night stressing about my GPA and getting an internship or getting a job. Who's worried? Not me.
8. When teachers say you can't cram for an exam or pull an all-nighter.
They obviously don't know that I've been barely scraping by in their class, only fueled on by the amount of caffeine in my system.
9. When people try to bother you at the library.
Bye.
10. When people don't understand that you can't look good during finals week.
I'm not even sure what day of the week it is right now. Is it morning? Midnight?
11. When you're finally done with the brutal finals week.
After finals week has destroyed all the brain cells you have left, the only thing that can help with stress is some retail therapy.
Just remember, sometimes you need to step outside, clear your head and remind yourself of who you are and where you wanna be.
You know you love me.
xoxo,
Tatyana
