As people, we learn to build and develop new relationships with those we tend to surround ourselves with. Over time, we learn that those who we are not related to by blood, but by a pure bond of friendship become almost family! This goes out to all the friends we make in life who stand by our sides through it all.
They know us best.
Everyone knows that little gossipy saying "Secrets, Secrets are no fun unless you share with everyone." Well, that saying is a little more modified when you have those friends who you spill all the "Kiss and Tell" secrets with, am I right, ladies? Our truest friends learn to adapt with us, pick up what were putting down and learn more about us then we know about ourselves! Whether it be your favorite color or food, to who your current crush is, they know it all, and that's just the cherry on top!
Anyone who knows me understands that in the heat of the moment, I can go from being a smiley rainbow of love to the Ruler of the Underworld ... and I admit to that! But they know that my rage or hate comes from a place of pure love with a splash of frustration and then just like that, everything is back to normal and all is OK! Our friends have learned the best ways to deal with our issues and to make us feel better when we are feeling the worst.
We all have those best friends that we consider sisters/brothers, and they stay there for us when no one else is. We may fight or we may laugh, we may cry or we may smile, but that is just what siblings do.They have our best interests at heart and they know that deep down nothing can ever separate that bond. Plus, just like siblings, they didn't ask to have us in their lives but they got stuck with us!
To those friends who find us at our lowest and try their best to bring us back up, to those friends who make sure the giggles never end, and to those friends who always give support when it is needed the most, thank you. Though most of us never say it enough, or some of us never even think to say it, thank you for being the best sister-from-another-mister/brother-from-another-mother out there!
