These days the word “fine” is thought of to be a way of saying any other feeling rather than fine. Men are meant to think that if a woman says she is fine, she really means the complete opposite. He then is supposed to keep asking her about it till she finally gets the feeling out she should have just said in the beginning. Some, not all, but some girls actually mean this when expressing the way in which her “face shows.” In the occasion that you might be feeling just fine it is 100 percent normal and 100 percent OK. Honestly it could just be your face, rather than looking mean you could just be content. You could be riding on the in between of happy and sad, or just over all confused and numb. This happens to a lot of people and it could be that you are overjoyed and filled with love and the next, be the complete opposite. Fine is a drifting word allowing others to worry over what it may actually mean, throwing themselves into a whirl wind of “what if’s” and “whys.”
Here is my advice for you: keep it simple.
Say what you need to say and express the true feelings you have. Fine is a diluted word that shows the in-between stage of feeling nothing to spectacular. The last few days have been a blur in the sense that nothing and everything have happened causing that confused feeling of, am I really OK? Is everything really fine? The answer is yes and that it is completely normal to feel lost and uncertain of where you are in life today. The only time this is not OK is when you lie to yourself. When you are not OK, when you are not fine, do not tell yourself otherwise. You maybe be broken, you may be sad, and neither of those words are “fine.” You may be ecstatic and excited and either of those words are “fine.” This generation is obsessed with the idea of feeling nothing or just being chill but having such a passionate understanding of emotion makes life much more enjoyable.
Enjoy yourself even in the moments of in-between.
Every day will not be the happiest day of your life but you can always put a smile on your face and live the most out of it. Say how you feel, tell yourself the truth; you owe it to yourself. Let others know what is on your mind and even if you get it out and still feel that “fine” sense of yourself, it is OK. Everyone has those days and life keeps going on.
