Yesterday, a swimsuit company known as Sunny Co promised millions of individuals on Instagram that they would be doing a promotion, where if you repost a certain picture, and tag them, you would receive a free swimsuit in the mail-- the only catch is you have to cover the costs of shipping and handling. So if you're anything like me, following a bunch of 18-20-year-old girls on Instagram, you saw this photo multiple times as you scrolled down the most recent posts yesterday. Here are some thoughts while I swiped though my swimming pool and red bathing suit filled feed...
1. Is this real?
2. *Sees the first post* Oh wow, that's a really artsy picture!
3. *Sees the second post of the same picture* Oh wait, whats going on here?
4. *Sees 4 more posts of the same picture* Okay, I need to click on this account to see what's going on...
5. Now having read the promotion, I understand better what's going on.
6. Well is this real? Are people actually going to get these swimsuits?
7. I need more information.
8. Okay, so it could be real...
9. Oh wait, theres an article with more information about it. Let me read that.
Link explaining what exactly is going on...
10. This is the biggest scam on Instagram right now.
11. Everyone probably deleted their photos of this bathing suit by now.
12. Yeah, they definitely deleted them.
13. WOW.
14. I can't believe people actually did this.
15. Okay, I should have done it, that bathing suit was kind of cute.
16. Nope, thats not me. I'll go buy my own bathing suit somewhere else.
I hope you have all come to your senses by now. Apparently, they are reserving the right to cap the number of bathing suits they send out, so was it really worth it? Probably not.
