The key to an everlasting friendship is constantly making each other laugh till everyone is looking at you guys like yall are crazy. Having someone you can always talk to about anything at all is a true blessing. You know that they'll love you and have your back no matter how many times you keep going back to your ex, fall into a drunken coma when you both go out, or pick a fight with the bouncer because he won’t let you in.

A best friend can be hard to find because we've all been walked over, stepped on, betrayed by other "friends", but here are 7 signs you and your best friend wouldn't dare do that to each other.

1. You consider yourselves to be sisters.

You both call each other your sister because you basically are. You share everything from food to clothes, have hurt each other while fighting over something pointless, and your own family members consider them to be part of the family.

“Yo, I’m having dinner with your mom tonight, you coming?”

2. You have your own language.

You and your best friend have so many inside jokes all of your conversations are based on them! You guys read each other’s minds and can communicate on a deeper level than others. So much so that when you both converse in public, nobody understands what the hell you are talking about.

Me: “Look at him, he's running fast as hell!”

Her: “Like that one time you tried to talk to that hot guy at the club and he ran a 100-meter dash away from you??”

3. You never get tired of each other.

You guys are basically together 247 and it doesn’t bother you one bit. You're so used to them being with you that you feel weird without them when you are alone. There are no boundaries with your best friend because you want to do life with them!

*One day into Christmas break*

“I already miss you!!”

4. You compliment and roast each other in the same sentence.

You are so comfortable with each other you’re not afraid to insult one another because you know that you will end up laughing about it rather than getting your feelings hurt.

“Girl, you cute, but you better go do your hair before we leave the house! You looking like Hagrid out here!”

5. No conversation is off limits between y'all.

Your best friend is your go to. So, when anything comes up and have to let it out they are the first person you FaceTime, text, Snapchat, or DM. You feel as if you can talk to them about anything because they won’t judge you.

Me: “Honestly, I miss him”

Her: Just go through a hoe phase…. f*ck that guy. On to the next one!”

6. Y'all are a package deal.

Being best friends means that when one friend gets in relationship, you both are basically in the relationship. If someone messes with one of you, they mess with both of you. You guys have each other's backs no matter what and aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty for each other.

“Wait, he said what?? Hell no, we’re driving to his place right now so we can both beat his ass!”

7. You’re equal in your friendship.

You both respect, admire, support, and love each other equally! There's no doubt you'll be best friends for life because of you both value this special bond you have with one another.

“After college let’s get the same job, marry some fine ass guys, and live together forever!”

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
