Overtime, I have learned if you really want something then you have to train your brain to want it first. We can all say how much we want something, but a lot of us very rarely put the necessary time in. You can't kind of want something. We have all heard that a goal without a plan is just a wish. In a Harvard study, it was found that the 3% of students that wrote down their goals were the most successful and make ten times as much as the other 97%. "If you don’t have time to write down your goals, where are you going to find the time to accomplish them?"
Lately, I have been looking into the Law of Attraction, especially in "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill. Simply put, the law of attraction is the belief that by focusing on positive or negative thoughts a person brings positive or negative experiences into their life. What you think about the most directly correlates with how you will feel. So you can either think about the past and feel bad for yourself and keep yourself in a dark bubble, or you can accept life for what it is and always look for the good. When you think positively, you will attract positive experiences and people, closely related to my article about "Good Vibrations". The Law of Attraction requires practice and you almost have to retrain your brain but the results are worth the efforts. Understanding some of the key points below will help you understand that you are in control of your life through your thoughts.
You have to become more mindful of your thoughts and knowing what to filter out or what to focus on more. In the beginning, it will be hard to redirect your thoughts every minute, but before you know it, it will become second nature.
Think of thoughts as tangible, because one day they will be if you keep after it. Any great achievement in any one person’s life started first as a single tiny thought in someone’s mind."Essentially, thoughts are seeds that can be grown, destroyed, or passed on to someone else…"
You need to have desire. We all think about things, but what we repeatedly think about and what keeps us up at night is what will become our reality. If your desire is focused on something positive, it will fill your life with success, friendships, satisfaction, etc. If your desire is focused on something negative, it will fill your life with stress, anxiety, tension, etc. You have to think it, talk about it, dream about it, and want it with all your heart and then stay after it. "A quitter never wins, and a winner never quits."
Write everything down and believe it. Write down what you are thankful for, write down what you want, write down ways to get it. What you think is what you will become.
