There are many things that you miss about a person after a breakup. However, those things may not just be the person itself. It can be the simplest things that make you reminded of them. There is nothing worse than losing that person plus more. Here are some of the things that I miss most from my current breakup.

1. Their family

When dating a person, meeting their family for the first time can be very nerve-wracking. But once that first encounter is over, their family may just become like a second family to you. Losing that person means you lost your second family, too. Growing so close to them and then being ripped away, can make the breakup so much harder.

2. Their dog

Any dog has my heart, but especially the dog that meant so much to your ex. The fact that you may never see the dog again is almost as heartbreaking as the breakup.

3. The smell of their clothes/stealing their clothes

Ladies, let's admit it. If a guy smells good, they tend to be WAY more attractive. Especially when the smell lingers for days on that favorite sweatshirt he let you wear. Anytime he would let me wear his clothes, and he didn't care if he got it back or not.

4. Constant contact

Going from texting 24/7 to not having someone to talk about anything and everything is harder than it seems, especially when we would be talking on every social media site possible. We could be fighting over text and sending funny videos via Instagram.

5. The future

Talking about the future is something that I wish we could've done more of. All of these adventures and exotic plans we had planned for each other. Whether it was to travel, start a family, or build a home together, they all seem like distant memories.

6. Your best friend

This one is probably the hardest to grasp. When you start dating someone, they may or may not be your best friend starting out, but they slowly become your best friend and significant other, which makes things even more complicated. You are losing them both at once, which can be very hard not having your best friend to talk to anymore.

7. Memories

All of the memories are still crystal clear in my mind. Whether they were good or bad, they are still memories that you had with the person. Many laughs and cries. No one can take away those memories we shared together, but not making new memories with that person has to be the hardest.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
