I'm so over spending money. I love to go shopping, but I just wish everything was free. Sadly, that's just not the way things work, though. Sigh. But we could hope. We can dream of a day when these 11 things will be completely free.
Toilet paper and paper towels
Coming to college is awful because you actually have to pay for these things now. They're not supplied by your parents, and they're kind of pricey if you want the nice ones, at least for a college kid.
Uber rides
It's bad enough that I can't have a car on campus, but now you're telling me I have to pay an overpriced fee to go somewhere out of Chapel Hill?
Toothpaste
Again, not used to paying for this. Brushing your teeth is, like, a basic human right.
Phone chargers
I have broken so many in college. So. Many.
Fried rice
Because I crave this way too often to be paying for it.
Another basic human right!
Hulu and Netflix
I have to have both, but it's like paying a cable bill every month.
Headphones
I lose these about every day.
Tampons
But instead of getting these for free, there's actually a pink tax on them in some places.
The New York Times
It's only about a dollar a month for the online subscription, but still. Free, please.
Shipping
This is actually the reason I refrain from online shopping sometimes, so maybe this is a good thing.
