Finals is a very sad time for us college students because we are all so close to going home for winter break and not having to worry about assignments and studying for a month, but we also have to worry about passing our classes and our exams. It's really a very dramatic, chaotic and stressful week and all of those things describe the Kardashian's perfectly which is why they really do a good job of explaining how we feel.

1. Being so tired from spending long nights or early mornings studying.

2. Accidentally snapping at your parents because you are so stressed and their advice is always "study harder." But they really don't always get the kind of stress you're under.

3. Putting in more effort than you have all semester and then the teacher gives you one more thing last minute.

4. Looking at material you should be studying and wondering how you have even made it this far through the class because it looks like a foreign language to you now.

5. Literally spending all your free time in the library or crying in your room because you're so overwhelmed.

6. Power studying for so long that even when you check your phone hours later for a "study break" you have no notifications therefore no distractions.

7. When your friends turn down group studying with you even though you're so bored by yourself it's crazy.

8. When your teacher doesn't even give a study guide or anything concrete for you to go off of for the final exam so you have to just fend for yourself.

9. When plot twist, there is no final exam it's just a project.

10. Looking back at the notes you took all semester.

11. That person that "doesn't even have to study because they know everything."

12. Just finals week in general.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
