Things To Do On Valentines Day If You're Single

Cry? Eat? Watch movies?

Things To Do On Valentines Day If You're Single
Time and Date

Oh the dreaded hallmark holiday, Valentine's Day. A day that both people who are in relationships or are single hate because of the over advertised, over priced, and all around day that has lost it’s true meaning. So if you find yourself single on this holiday filled with love, here are five things you can do to celebrate being by yourself for yet another year!

Go to the Movies:

There are some really great movies out right now that are worth the $12 ticket and $20 popcorn. If you haven’t already seen Patriots Day and are interested in learning about the series of events that took place during the Boston Marathon bombings, you should definitely go and see it. It was amazing and eye opening.

Watch Netflix:

If you don’t feel like going to the theater that will be filled from left to right with couples, then plan a night in with some of your besties and watch a cheesy chick flick! My favorite movie to watch is White Chicks!

Order Takeout:

Again, if you’re single this year, I wouldn’t suggest going out to dinner, unless you want to become even more sad and depressed then you already are. But if you still want lettuce wraps from PF Chang's then order takeout! That way you can be in the comfort of your own home, in your PJ’s, and catching up on the latest Real Housewives episode!

Workout:

You probably think that this idea is crazy, but is it really? This year Valentine's Day falls on a Tuesday, it’s the beginning of the week, and you will probably already be crazy stressed. Not to mention a little down. So why not go relieve some stress by hitting the gym? You will feel so much better about yourself and a little happier from all of the endorphins you just released from a good workout.

Cry:

Or you can cry, in your room, by yourself, about how you still don’t have a boyfriend, and say how you will probably be that crazy, lonely, cat lady that everyone jokes around about for the rest of your life, while shoving chocolate down your throat. I seriously do not suggest this but hey, once you’ve hit rock bottom, the only place to go is up!

Anyways, I hope this helps you try to enjoy Valentine’s Day a little more this year! As for me, I will probably be drowning in homework so I won’t even have time to think about being in a relationship. But I think I’ll try to squeeze in a workout somewhere!

What are your Valentine’s Day plans this year? Single or taken! Comment down below, it’s always fun to get new ideas for the future!

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
