After graduating from college, you add a triumphant experience to your list of success stories. You have accomplished one of your biggest goals and are ready to head out to the world. You get to use the piece of paper also known as your degree to get a job and use the skills that you have learned from your courses. For my fellow alumni that have graduated from Saint Rose, you and I have a lot in common. For the current students that are continuing on the path toward graduation, keep going and trust me when I say that you can do it. Here is a list of the things you will learn after you graduate as a Golden Knight.

1. You will learn how much you missed using your school ID to ride the bus.

2. You will learn how right your professors were.

3. You will learn how you don't miss purchasing textbooks for class... that were never cheap.

4. You'll learn how you much you'll miss the wraps from The Camelot Room

...and promise you'll return one day to get your favorite one when in reality, you know you won't have the time.

5. You'll learn how much you miss FEAR the Knight and you still have no idea who wore the costume.. you just accepted it.

6. You will learn how much your Starbucks craving has worsened since you started at CSR.

7. You will learn that you will always defend your Freshman Dorm. Brubacher vs. Lima.

8. You'll learn how much you miss attending sporting events but love to hear a CSR team on the news. You'll always be a Golden Knight.


9. You'll learn how much you'll miss the friends you made at college.

10. You will learn that no matter where you end up in life, you will always feel at home at The College of Saint Rose.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
