Some of us were only children. Some of us were one of many. I was one of the few that was blessed with one sole partner in crime, and this is a list of things that I can't help but thank him for.
Thank you for your passion. You are the most amazing person that I have ever come into contact with (no bias or anything). The way you speak about martial arts, video games and just life in general leaves me in awe. You are my moon and my sun and I totally believe that you are responsible for every happiness in my life. Every single time I think about you, I just can't help but smile. You hang the stars in my night sky with your words of wonder, and you are only 11. Watch out world, because Maverick is coming for you, and he is not slowing down for anything.
Thank You for Being Overprotective of Me (Even though you're eight years younger than me...) You are the man! You always have my back, no matter what. Literally anytime I have mentioned a boy's name that I have liked, someone I was not getting along with or even a random person on the street that looked at me weird, you ask if they need to be beaten up. I totally believe that you could take anyone that was put in front of you, but it has always meant the world to me that you are willing to beat up someone in my honor.
Thank You for Your Weird Matching My Weird. I know that it is probably my fault that you're such a dork and I love it! My dear little brother loves Doctor Who. My dear little brother screams when he sees a red fez. My dear little brother and I fight over Star Wars trivia. My dear little brother is the most intense gamer I have ever known. My dear little brother, never stop being you, because you are perfect.
Thank You for Your Strength. The lyrics, "I'll be by your side whenever you call, in the dead of night whenever you fall" (Song 'By Your Side' by Tenth Avenue North) mean more than the world to me because when I hear those, I think of you. Even in the darkest of times, you never cease to be my rock, my knight in shining armor and my favorite person alive. I love you little dude and I cannot be more proud of the man you are becoming.
Thank You for Your Friendship. I could try and write a song about the 8th Wonder of theWorld that is Maverick and just how much he means to me, but no tune in the galaxy would ever measure up to you.
