Going Greek is a big decision that many girls in college decide to make. You go through rush, receive a bid, pledge and then you officially become a sister. No matter if you're a part of a national organization or a small school-affiliated one, these are 10 things any sorority girl will be able to relate to.

1. Going to Rush

Once you decided that you were interested in Greek life, there is no doubt that you got excited about rush and figuring out which sisterhood is for you. You’ll never forget going to your future house and meeting girls who would soon become your sisters and family for life.

2. Getting your bid

You'll admit it: going home the night before closed rush, you were nervous to find out if you received a bid or not, but during the next day after receiving your bid, you realized that the sisters want you to pledge just as much as you do.

3. Getting your BIG

No matter how old you get, you will NEVER forget the day you find out who your big is. She became someone that you talked to every day and helped you to learn the history of your sorority. Still to this day, she remains someone you always count on, especially outside of all your sisters.

4. Waking up the day after you officially became a sister

Ladies, there’s nothing better than waking up the morning after you got into your sorority and realizing that you’ve finally finished and you’re a sister. Above all, you realize you now have an amazing group of sisters who are you going to be there for you no matter what, through the thick and thin.

5. Wearing your first set of letters

You spent weeks learning the history of your sorority while also getting to know the sisters on a deeper level. When you're wearing your first set of letters, you’re excited to show people what you worked so hard for, while also representing your sorority.

6. Experiencing your first rush (as a sister)

You’ve already experienced rush in order to become a sister, but it’s a totally different thing to experience it as a sister. You’re eager to show other girls why you decided to become a part of something so big. One of the biggest ups about experiencing rush is knowing that soon, you won’t be the youngest sisters anymore.

7. Finally meeting the alumni you've heard so many good things about

There’s always that one alumni you will hear about all the time. They most likely did amazing things as a sister and graduated years before you started college but is still all about your sorority and will do anything for the other alumni and active sisters of the organization.

8. Alumni Weekend

It’s the first time you’re most likely meeting the sisters who your oldest sisters pledged with. You hear about what the sorority was like when they were in your shoes and you begin to get to know the sisters that you haven’t yet met. Overall, you finally see just how big and loving your sisters truly are.

9. Getting your first position

After you’re a sister, you’re eager to get a position and start to be more active with things like rush, philanthropies and fundraisers.

10. Realizing that having sorority sisters is exactly like having real sisters

There comes a point that you realize sorority sisters are your sisters, meaning that you don’t always get along. Sometimes, you’re going to disagree, but at the end of the day, you know you love each other no matter what and will always be there for each other.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
