If you are or ever have been a picky eater you know how to navigate the menu to find something you can eat. You know your favorite foods and dishes, the ones that can do you no wrong and are always good. Additionally, you also know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the foods and dishes you'll avoid at all costs. You've dealt with the difficulties of trying new foods and going to restaurants that are outside of your comfort zone. These are the things you know to be very true if you've ever categorized yourself as a picky eater.

1. Your order is always complicated

It always takes time to figure out the dishes you like. Even after choosing a dish on the menu, there are most likely one or more things you don't want. Mayo, aioli, tomatoes, onions, pickles, and the list goes on.

2. Anything called "the Classic" describes your food choices

The classic anything tends to be simple and easy. I've been to restaurants where a simple cheese pizza was called "The Classic". Classic pizza, sandwich, and pasta options are the best.

3. Your choices at a restaurant are always limited

You have foods and dishes you know you will like anywhere. But because you're picky, there aren't that many options that you'll like. You're lucky if a menu has more than two things you would order. Make sure to pick a dish you will like!

4. You have your go to, safe orders at every resturant

Giphy

You know the restaurants that you love because they have dishes that cater to your pickiness. You know you can always find something you'll like at these restaurants and you are so thankful for them.

5. You always feel bad asking for so many changes

Giphy

Because most of your orders become complicated with lots of changes, you feel bad for making your order so difficult. You always feel bad for your order being too long and confusing.

6. Its hard to find a place to agree on when deciding where to eat

Giphy

You know the places that will have dishes you know you will like, which makes trying new places really scary. You have no clue what their menu will be like. This makes it difficult to decide on a place everyone would like.

7. Your friends start to know your orders because you always get the same thing

Giphy

Because you have your go-to orders which you get all the time, your friends start to catch on and always can guess what you will order. Are they surprised when you order the same thing all the time? Nope!

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
