I do not understand why some people have to voice their opinions on disliking tattoos. In my opinion, I do not understand why others feel like they need to judge others and think less of them because that person decided to ink their body. It does not affect the person without the tattoo, so what’s the point on degrading someone’s interest? Here are a few things people with tattoos are tired of hearing.
- Is that real?
Of course it’s real. I would hope it’s real considering I spent money on it. - Did it hurt?
It all depends on where you get it to be honest, but they usually don’t hurt that much. - You’ll regret it when you are older.
No I won’t. People who decide to get permanent ink tattooed on their bodies usually spend quite a bit of time thinking about what/where they want it. - Isn’t that kinda clique?
Do you think I honestly care if it is or not? I got it for me, not for you to critique. - Why would you waste your money?
We all “waste" our money on things we “want.” Also it will last me a lot longer and it wasn’t a waste to me. - Can I touch it?
No! Why would you think that my tattoos are an invite for you to touch my body? - What did your parents say?
Even if my parents didn’t care for them, it isn’t their body and it isn't their money. - What will you tell your kids?
Not to judge a book by its cover. - What about interviewing for a job?
I can cover up my tattoos. - How will you hide them on your wedding day?
Why would I hide them? I got tattoos because I thought they were beautiful and I would want to show them off on the day where you’re supposed to feel the most beautiful. - Why did you get it?
Maybe I liked the design, or maybe it has special meaning to me. I don’t owe you an explanation. - Do you have any in secret places?
That isn't any of your business -- and even if I did, why would I show you?
