I'm not a girly-girl but I'm also not a tomboy. This article is for all the girls who just aren't the most effeminate. I feel your pain.

1. What would you know about cars? You're a girl.

It's crazy how many people just assume you wouldn't know anything about motor vehicles. I know more about certain types of cars than most of the guys I know. But, since I am a woman It's automatically assumed that I wouldn't know anything.

2. Why do you have so many guy friends?

One simple reason. I get along with guys way easier than girls. My mother was the same way. Why can't I be friends with guys?

3. Why don't you wear makeup like other girls?

We wear it when we want to. We don't wear it when we don't want to. Makeup isn't something we need every day of our lives.

4. The music you listen to is scary...

Good, we're weeding out the weak ones who can't handle us or our music. HEHE.

5. Do you need me to help you play this game?

Whether it's Xbox, darts, or bowling for some reason it's always assumed that you don't know what you're doing. We get comments like "Oh you wanna play me? Ok, I'll go easy on you" or "Sure let's play this, I'll teach you how."

(I tend to use this to my advantage by hustling you and making you bet something and then when I win you look like the jerk:)

6. No, No, Ladies first

If I tell you to go first, please go first.

If I hold the door for you just walk through it, don't try to grab the door from me and make me walk.

Sometimes we can do nice things it doesn't have to be switched just because I'm a woman.

7. What's your favorite color? Pink?

No, I've never liked pink. Unless you're referring to PINK by Victoria Secret then I don't like it.

8. You wear that outfit all the time.

Imagine that. Me wearing an outfit that I bought and i like?

Sorry, we don't all have the money to be buying all those fancy outfits. Look like it's another day of leggings and a tee shirt for me! :) *Comfy*

9. Why do you always wear your hair the same?

Look, I would love to make my hair look like a princesses' but I just don't understand how. That's a lot of time and effort every morning and that's more sleep I could be getting.

10. You couldn't care less

We are beautiful and perfect the way we are.

We are car people, we have so many friends (mostly guys), we love our music even if it scares people, we can play any game you can and probably win, sometimes it can be men first instead of women, and we don't plan on changing.

Stay perfect ladies!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
