Dear younger sister,
You've been a pain in my you-know-what for as long as I can remember. You know exactly how to push my buttons. You know exactly the right words to say to get under my skin. But you've also matured a whole lot, and I am starting to appreciate you more as I mature as well. These are some of the things I hope you know...
1. Thank you for annoying me all those years and always making me late; it helped me learn patience.
2. I used to want to strangle you when I saw you with my clothes on, but now I'm glad we're old enough to be able to share wardrobes.
3. I will cherish the times when we would fight and get sent to our rooms, only to be found 30 minutes later in the same room acting like best friends.
4. You aren't that bad to share a room with.
5. You were my first friend.
6. Thank you for always being up for going shopping or going to get fast food.
8. Blood is thicker than water, and you definitely understand that. Thanks for sticking up for me and having my back always.
9. You let me set an example of the person you should become, which ultimately pushed me to be the best person I can be.
10. You're helpful in the sense that whenever I forget something, you usually have an equivalent.
11. Your brutal honesty has saved me from many bad consequences...thank you.
12. When you ask me for advice it makes me feel important.
13. I'm thankful for the times when you've put me in check...like when I was overreacting over a boy or when I thought my new haircut looked terrible.
Overall, I want you to know that I am so thankful that I have a younger sister that will always have my back. I know now that I have a forever-friend who I can always call no matter what the situation is, and I'm glad our rollercoaster of an awkward childhood has reached the plateau of sisterhood.
