Here's some really annoying things Hillary stans say to Bernie supporters, since everyone wants to write articles about the "demonization" of Hillary Clinton.
1. "I honestly don't even know who I'm voting for; they're the same to me."
So either...
1. You're too embarrassed to say you're voting for Hillary.
2. You know nothing about their stances because they're very different.
2. "I mean I honestly don’t care who wins the Democratic Primary as long as we become unified (*lies straight through their teeth*)"
1. LOL, Okay.
2. I mean I guess they're basically the same except on minimum wage, taxation of the rich, campaign finance, healthcare, death penalty, decriminalization of marijuana, US government surveillance etc. etc. NBD.
3. "She really did carry hot sauce in her bag though! I swear I read an article."
1. Wow then obviously I have to vote for her now; she's so #relatable.
4. "I mean I agree with what those black lives matter protesters were saying, but isn’t there a time and place for that?"
1. Whoa dere.
2. A time and a place for what.
5. "Also, she said *insert racist/homophobic comment here* SOO long ago. People change their minds you know, it's been a while?"
1. Interesting.
2. I'd rather not take chances when it comes to the valuing of my life, yah know?
6. "Don’t you want to support the possibility of the first woman president?"
1. Not really, but thanks for asking.
7. "I mean he's an unrealistic option, he's never going to win. His views are so extreme."
1. Okay.
8. "You do realize that Bill Clinton was like the first black president before Obama right *snickers*"
1. Literally go to hell.
9. "Who even cares about those emails right?"
1. That would be the State Department, but no big deal I guess.
10. "Look at those Bernie supporters taking a turn for the worst! Challenging DNC establishment for what?"
1. Wait I'm confused, do you think that the preservation of the Democratic Party is that important that we are not allowed to challenge things such as voter suppression?
11. "Hillary Clinton is trustworthy, the conservative right-wingers are trying to make you believe she's not!"
1. LOL.
2. I bet.
Anyways, I'm sick and tired of Hillary Clinton supporters acting as if this privileged woman can anyway relate to me simply because of her womanhood. Stop telling me Hillary Clinton is for me, because that simply is not true. Not to say that Sanders is infallible, but no amount of explanation of Clinton's past stances or her refusal to speak out about anything about race (until Sanders does first) is going to make me change my opinion on her. She doesn't seem to genuinely care about her constituents and says what she thinks she needs to say to get elected (to minorities), but all whilst not losing support from her original supporters (i.e. white people). As an Ethiopian, second generation immigrant woman in America, my entire life is surrounded by the intersection of my ethnicity and my gender. I do not believe that Hillary Clinton in any way would fight for my rights and the many issues that surround them, i.e. education, income gap (WAY different for Women of Color), mass incarceration, etc., when her track record says otherwise, so stop trying to convince me that she will.
