Time.
We live in a society where we focus a great deal of attention on clocks, calendars and time frames.
We are easily frustrated by delays. Being late to an appointment, having dinner at 7:00 P.M. and working late on a Friday. However, the agitation does not end here. Many people create a chronicle order of how their lives should unfold. As if another mental "check" off the list will bring some sort of divine happiness.
I think a lot of times it is easy to blame time when things do not work out. "If I had been a little older", "younger", "smarter", or "prettier". I'm not sure I will ever fully grasp the concept of time. It can pass us by or appear to stand still. Perhaps time isn't linear and we experience moments merely to create continuity. I wish I knew why things don't always work out the way we hope for. But I can tell you one thing.
The times where things fall apart is when we are doing the most learning. You will discover yourself in ways you never imagined. You will prosper, grow, and acquire knowledge for when the moment is right. Instead of focusing on a timeline, pay attention to congruence. All signs coming together in perfect harmony.
However, sometimes we forget that we are only human. We are individually beautiful, but we are also susceptible to failure, mistakes, and heartache. The truth is, no one is immune to these things yet somewhere along the way that has been forgotten. If something does not sit well with you, there is a reason. If something does not work out, there is a reason. You are not endowed to any place, person, or thing because of time.
Push chronology to the back of your mind and focus on creating a life overflowed with bliss, not dates.
