You. Me. Us.

The adventures we experienced and the challenges we faced are all still very fresh to me. They were not just memories, they were vivid images, that when looked back upon, every detail screamed.

The way your blonde hair flowed so effortlessly. The way that leather bracelet I brought back from my travels looked against your pale wrist. And finally, your eyes, how they gazed into mine, telepathically conveying your emotions.

These thoughts brought a warmth to my hands and would encourage my heart to dance.

I have yet to feel something like that. Something that was so simple, yet so beautiful.

Once we parted ways, I felt as if I was split right down the middle. My other half had left, and so did my faith in love.

I went on with my life or at least tried to, but everything my eyes found itself on brought me back to our memorable excursions.

As tears would flood my vision, I couldn't help but think that maybe one day he would come back to me.

That maybe, just maybe, he would realize he loved me too much to never let school or distance get in the way of what could be.

If you are reading this, I want you to know that I will always care about you. You have set the bar so high for the next guy, that I don't think it is in anyway possible to live up to.

One day, down the road, we might cross paths again. And perhaps then, that will be our time.
