Our favorite fall television shows are about to reclaim our screens as we approach the end of September. There is no doubt that the month of October will bring joy to the hearts of many because that means the return of America’s number one television program, AMC’s “The Walking Dead," is not too far away. With the show’s season seven premiere currently scheduled for October 23rd, fans will surely be counting down the days until they are reunited with their obsession.

New Characters

The trailer for this upcoming season was released at this year’s Comic-Con. It showcased both new and returning character as well as locations. From the looks of things, our beloved Alexandria will make its return, but how will things change now that the show’s new antagonist, Negan, is in charge? Jesus, with his amazing ability to escape incredibly challenging situations, appeared suddenly in the last season, but I think he is one of the most interesting returning characters. We don’t know much about him or his backstory, so I would like to see more of Jesus in the next season. The Hilltop colony were temporarily freed from their servitude, but now that Rick and the team have been captured, they are no longer safe from Negan’s wrath. So what will become of them?

As for new locations and characters, we saw a few fresh faces in the trailer, but there is only person who’s name we already know because he announced it. King Ezekiel and his domesticated tiger were the most shocking part of the preview. His appearance radiates power and authority, leading us to ask the questions: Who is this king? Where is his kingdom? And most importantly, will he become an ally to our favorite group of walker slaying heroes?

Mystery Death Theory

We were left with one of the most suspenseful cliffhangers of all time. Negan “beat the hell outta” one of the main cast members, but we don’t know who! He played a game of eenie-meenie-miney-mo to decide who would be the victim of a burial beating from Lucille, his barbwire-wrapped baseball bat. But when he points to who is “it”, we switch point of views. Suddenly, we see things from the unknown victim’s perspective, leaving us to wonder who’s eyes we are looking thorough as Negan viciously beats the life out of them with his bat. The only thing we know is that he had to hit them twice before they fall to the ground.

Everyone has their speculations and theories about who died, but the most logical options, in my opinion, are either Abraham or Maggie. Carl and Rick could not be considered one of the possible victims given the fact that Negan stated, “Anybody moves, anybody says anything, cut the boy’s other eye out and feed it to his father.” But Maggie is visibly very sick, making her an easy target, and in Negan’s eyes, disposable. Abraham, on the other hand is visibly the strongest member of the group when it comes to physical attributes. This could result in Negan viewing him as a potential threat in the near future, so he eliminates him. Besides, Abraham is probably the only one who could withstand the first hit, needing two hits to knock him down.

No one but the show’s amazing writers knows for sure who we will lose in the opening of the next season. Was it one of our soon-to-be parents, Glen and Maggie? Was it our favorite wisecracking ginger, Abraham? Was it Rick, Michonne, Carl, Arron, Eugene, or even Daryl? Guess we’ll have to patently wait until October 23rd to find out!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
