We have hit that time of year again where people are hustling and bustling getting ready for Christmas. There are many activities you can do to spice up your Christmas season. As a child, my family had many Christmas traditions. Our traditions helped make the Christmas season the best time of the year. As I grow older some of our traditions change, but we still continue to keep the holiday spirit alive. Being together with the people you love and creating traditions together makes the Christmas season one to remember.
Mix Up Your Christmas Music Playlist
After Thanksgiving it is acceptable to start playing your Christmas music. Are you tired of hearing the same Christmas song over and over again on the radio? Try listening to a mix of classic and contemporary music to better enjoy your holiday season!
Chop Down A Christmas Tree
Getting a Christmas tree can be an adventure. Several people go to tree farms, others cut one down in their own backyard, and some use a fake tree. Try something new this year and head up to the mountains to cut down a tree. Purchase an inexpensive permit (normally about $5), bring some snacks, a jet-boil for hot chocolate, and sleds and hit the road. Finding your own Christmas tree gives you fresh air while also exploring the outdoors.
See The Lights
The enchantment of the lights makes Christmas the most magical time of the year. Take the time to walk around to see the lights, drive around with friends or family while playing Christmas music, or even go check out a local light show. Taking in the sights and sounds of the season can get you in the holiday spirit.
Bake, Bake, And Then Bake Some More
It is that time of year again where there is an endless supply of treats lying around the house. Although it may be unhealthy, try baking at least one holiday dessert. Whether you bake for friends, family, neighbors, or yourself, baking is a must during the Christmas season. Don’t worry about putting on the extra pounds because you can always start fresh as your New Year’s resolution...
Get Together With Friends And Family
Being alone during the holidays is no fun. If able to do so, spend time with the people you love most. Doing different activities with loved ones makes the Christmas season one to remember. Share your joy with others.
Shop Till You Drop
The stores are filled with crazy shoppers doing their last minute Christmas shopping. If possible, get your shopping done early. If you do your shopping last minute, enjoy picking out gifts other people will like. Despite the stress and amount of people that come with shopping, relish the process of picking out gifts for your friends and family.
Watch Christmas Movies
There are some classic Christmas movies that can be watched over and over again. When your home put the T.V. on and enjoy some movies such as National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, or Elf.

Decorate Your House
Falalalalalalalala. Tis the season to break out the decorations. Make your house a joy filled place with lights, stockings, and other decorations. Save your decorations year after year. You will create quite a collection that you can continue to use every holiday season.
