A College Student's Ultimate Thank You Letter

Dear God,

First of all, thank you for blessing me with the opportunity to go to college, I am grateful that I have this time to discover myself. It isn't always easy, but I know that I have you to help me through it. Thank you for creating the most beautiful morning skies that make morning walks to class or work a lot easier. Thank you for warm morning coffee and the occasional glazed doughnut. Thank you for the days I get to sleep in and for the free meals I find throughout the week. I know I sometimes complain about my classes, but I am thankful for them too!

Help me to learn more everyday and expand my knowledge for not only the things of this world, but also the things of you. Thank you for the professors who teach me everyday and for the days where we learn more about life than we do math or history. Thank you for every opportunities that I have had to get involved on my college campus, and for the doors that are opened daily. Thank you for the friends and family that support me and teach me to trust in you. Thank you for the late nights, the early mornings, and the mid-day naps in between.

Please forgive me for the times that I question you, college brings on a lot of stress and worry about my future and sometimes it causes me to question your plan for my future or ask you "why." Thank you for your patience as I search to find the answers and continuously remember that the only thing I need to do is trust you. Thank you for reaching out to me and healing my heart during the long lonely nights. Please continue to wrap your arms around me as I slowly figure out this crazy thing called life.

Thank you for giving me something to be thankful for every single day that I am here. I want nothing more than to live my life for you and make you proud. Please continue to let my light shine to all those who I encounter. Thank you for life, physical life and eternal life, and most importantly, thank you for the cross.
