The Typical Problems Women Have When They Are Going Out

You know, like picking out an outfit...

Going out is one of the best parts about college... for my friends and I least. While actually pre-gaming and going to parties is super fun, the preparation can be somewhat taxing, anxiety ridden, and funny (to look back on). Here are some of the stages almost every college gal can relate to, as we prepare ourselves for the night's festivities.

You Send Or Receive... The Ever So Common "What Are You Wearing?" Text

You have no idea what you are going to wear and neither do your friends. You check the weather several times and decide the night is either a jeans night, a shorts night, a skirt night, or a dress night. And that is just the beginning...

You Try On 15 Outfits... Just To Wear The First One You Tried On Out

After picking your bottoms, you try on at least 20 shirts, four pairs of shoes, and two different earring sets. Your closet looks like a hurricane just hit it, but you have zero time to fix it because it took you 40 minutes to get dressed. Whoops.

You Can't Decide (Or Do) Your Hair Without Help From The Gals

You rely on the squad to tell you what looks good and that includes hair. Chances are, you also need a little bit of help doing your hair. Not all of us are masters of the flat-iron and the curler, but some blessed girls are. Curls are done with the help of your BFF, because if you try on your own you'll burn yourself.

You Put A Water Next To Your Bed

Power-move for the fun, flirty, and young. You know a headache is coming tomorrow, which you low-key dread, but you just plan ahead for it. I mean, what's the point of thinking about the uncontrollable...

You Decide On The Rules And Goals Of The Night...

We all need to set some standards and goals for ourselves. Whether it is to get figgity, to be social, to not be hungover, to not text your ex, to flirt with the hot guy from your math class, or to not eat pizza, you have to have a chat with the friends about the expectations. It's how you decide how your night is going to go. Whether that happens or not... probably depends on the amount of alcohol you drink.

You Play That One Song That Gets You In The Mood To Party

Sammy Adam's "All Night Longer" is very famous on college campuses and can be heard out of windows all around. A$AP, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, and some oldies can also do the trick. This helps you not hate the fact that you spent three hours of your day preparing to drink not suck so much.

You Slab On Some Eye Makeup So You Can Start Drinking Without Stabbing Yourself In The Eye With A Brush

A very important step. One must be careful not to drink before the eyes are done. Pencil in the eye is not comfortable.

You Get The "Hurry Up, Where Are You?" Text

You are not even close to ready. But you hustle for the gals. You put on your necklace, down a mixed-drink, throw on a fracket, and meet up with the squad. Time to get to the fun part of the night. All in all, the preparation that ladies undergo may not be that fun and the struggle is real, but we push through for the fun of the night.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
