The Types Of People In A Friend Group

The Mom

There’s always that one friend in the group that is constantly reminding us what time it is and planning how we’re getting home. That friend that is always the shoulder to cry on when a boy breaks your heart telling you there’s a thousand of fish in the sea. Without that friend, I would have to say, there have been numerous occasions I probably wouldn’t have made it home.

The Complainer

Of course, every friend group has one of these friends. I get it you're pissed off he/she didn't answer your Snapchat (again), but settle down young one. The friend group wouldn't be the same without him/her going off about their "problems."

The Advice Giver

I personally don't know what I would do without that one friend that always has such a beautiful outlook on life. In today's day in age, it is sometimes impossible to turn a bad situation into something positive, but there's always that one friend that manages to do so.

The Drunk

We all have that friend that is way too drunk every time we decide to go out. If she isn’t drinking that night because she’s Designated Driver, don’t worry she’ll just drink double next time (literally). No matter how many times she has drunkenly sobbed over a boy, it’s always a good laugh in the morning.

The Athlete

In every friend group, there’s always an athletic friend that’s good at every sport and we’ll never know why. During season, that friend completely disappears from the friend group, yet nobody seems to question it. Although that friend may only text in the group chat once a week telling us to “Like her Instagram”, we love her.

The Genius

Thank God for this friend. Without the genius friend I probably wouldn’t of made it past senior year statistics. No matter what the topic may be this friend seems to know everything about everything.

The Fashionista

The fashionista friend is more than a friend that has every cute and in article of clothing. The fashionista friend is a friend that has every cute and in article of clothing, yet complains that they never have anything to wear. Lesson learned. Always tell this friend you’re outside their house when you’re ten minutes away because they most likely still haven’t picked out an outfit.

The Make-up Artist

This is most definitely the friend that has almost every single Mac lipstick, but is constantly buying more. This is also the friend is that probably the only friend in the group that “actually” knows how to contour and highlight properly.

The Emotional One

There’s always that one emotional friend and when I say emotional I mean emotional about everything. I'm really sorry that you dropped your last bite of food on the floor, but please no need for the water works.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
