If you like scary movies, you've come to the right place. I am an avid scary movie enthusiast and am constantly searching for a new scary movie that will get my adrenaline pumping. So if you're like me, and can't seem to find a good scary movie, here are the best twenty horror movies (organized by category so you can select the one's you like best).

Stalker Movies:

Stalker movies are great because they seem the most realistic. Unlike aliens or blood-sucking ghosts, you never know who's got it out for you and may be lurking in your closet or in the shadows. Some of these are older movies but that definitely doesn't mean they aren't just as great as some of the newer versions. Another thing to note is that some of the movies below have sequels and updated versions (like Halloween).

1. Halloween (1978 version AND 2007)

2. Hush (2016)

3. The Shining (1980)

4. Cape Fear (1991)

5. Scream (1996)

Paranormal Movies:

You'll notice that most of the paranormal movies selected below are fairly recent productions. That is because the best scary paranormal movies require modern technology in order to make them seem more realistic. These selections are absolutely the creepiest, most well produced ghost/demon movies made yet.

1. The Conjuring (2013)

2. Sinister (2012) (and Sinister 2- 2015)

3. The Blair Witch Project (1999)

4. The Amityville Horror (2005)

5. Annabelle (2014)

Thrillers:

These movies don't fit in any of the other categories, but are definitely some of the best horror movies out there. These are all incredibly well-known movies, however they're kind of old, so a lot of the younger generation haven't experienced how fantastically horrifying these movies are. They vary in genre however, if you like thrillers, then you're bound to enjoy these selections.

1. The Silence of the Lambs (1991)

2. Psycho (1960)

3. Seven (1995)

4. The Sixth Sense (1999)

5. Zodiac (2007)

Monster/Creature Movies:

I'm not much of a creature-feature lover, but these movies definitely made it into the top 20. These type of films take lot's of imagination and abstract thinking, however the five listed below are some basic horror monster films.

1. Jaws (1975)

2. The Babadook (2014)

3. Cloverfield (2008)

4. Jeepers Creepers (2001)

5. The Cabin in the Woods (2011)

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
