One particular thing that unites generations, in spite of 21st century being such a gap for people of different age, is a book that each of us will remember for a long period of time. For everyone it is different: author, title, cover and story, or maybe it happened that you might like same one with another million of people on this planet. Who knows.

"The thorn birds" by Colleen McCullough is a life story about ordinary people, which reminds you about your neighbors, as if you have been living next to them and you have been observing them generation after generation. That feeling of being close to the characters is so rare and that is why this book is immediately in the list of most touching stories in a lifetime.

The story of a big family is set in 1915 in Australia and takes the reader into a fictional sheep station where Cleary family lives being described from the field of view of each member of the family. It starts with Meggie, the youngest child, and from chapter to chapter the narrator changes from one family member to another. This narrative technique gives an amazing insight into the family of Cleary, where the reader discovers himself almost standing next to them, sleeping in the same house and eating the same pudding.

The story is full of events focused mainly on the youngest Meggie and her discoveries of the surrounding world as she grows up. The reader is given a rare possibility to know what she thinks and also to look at her from the point of view of her brothers and parents, making the reader feel more connected to her.

The book also unfolds the elements of human identity and the question of priorities, making the audience think about what people should put first - their ambitions, feelings or status. In addition, the story plot has a lot of emotions, when it comes to the point that you worry about every single character, and cry together with them.

The romantic direction in the book is a whole separate story, written in simple language, almost like a real - life frame, without sweetness just showing audience how important communication between people is.

To conclude, if you ever feel need to go away from your own reality and live another life - this book has so much to offer that it will blow your mind for a long period of time. Take a chance and enjoy it !

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
