Senioritis is a true disease. One that seems to be running rapid this semester. Symptoms include an overwhelming desire to stay in bed all day, drinking copiously.......coffee that is, and binge watching Netflix. How could this outbreak be so widespread and so significant in not only the senior class...but also the juniors...the sophomores....the freshmen? One thing that every class seems to have in common is their spiritual connection to The Office.

1. When you're trying not to freak out on the kid that has to talk every class.

2. When your professor gives you a 100 page paper, 3 assignments, a test, and 2 books to read all due by next class.

3. When someone asks a dumb question and you gotta play it cool.

4. When you constantly question if what you're about to do is acceptable to human kind.

5. When all your hard earned money disappears.

5. When you have to do weird things to stay awake so you can finish all your work.

6. When that one group member never does anything, ever.

7. When people try to talk to you in the morning before you have coffee.

8. When it seems like everyone on earth sent you an email today.

9. When the internet is down so you have to find other ways to entertain yourself.

10. When you're hungry but don't want to talk to anyone while you're getting your food.

11. "What are your plans after graduation?"

12. When the professor counts you missing class, even though you were sick, as an unexcused absence.

13. When you have to remind people of who they are speaking with. Bow down.

14. When the professor calls on you to talk about the reading assignment you were supposed to do.

15. When you're having a tough time with the simple things.

16. When you contemplate going out on a Monday because the week has already been too much.

17. When people tell you to cheer up.

18. When you haven't slept for days but still go to class and end up completely lost.

19. When it's 3 weeks in and some random kid waltzes in an steals your seat. No, you can leave now.

20. When it's the last week of class and still nobody can say your name right.

College is hard.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
