Most people like receiving happy birthday wishes on their birthday - right? Well, for us summer birthdays, this NEVER HAPPENS to us. It depends on who you are, too, but odds are most people will forget about your birthday. Anyone who has a summer birthday can relate to all of the struggles of celebrating turning a year older during the best yet worst time of the year.
1. You don't get a whole class to sing happy birthday to you.
Only in my dreams.
2. People are usually on vacation on your birthday.
Birthday parties feel almost impossible to plan since people are usually away.
3. You have minimal messages on social media because people are enjoying the weather outside.
It's even more heartbreaking when you see people post about their day outdoors on social media and still don't wish you a happy birthday.
4. In fact, the only people who remember your birthday are you closest friends and family members.
5. You're usually one of the youngest in your class - if not, the youngest.

6. You're also the last to be able to do anything, like get your license.
And vote, drink, etc.
7. You don't get many presents.
Okay, so presents are not everything on birthdays. But as a little kid, you want as many presents as you could get.
8. It's always hot, making it hard to even leave the house.

9. You most likely have a summer job, which means you have to work on your birthday.
I learned my lesson when I forgot to request the day off one year, thinking that my work already knew my birthday. Boy, was I wrong...
10. Your locker/dorm never got a cute invasion of balloons and decorations.
I've always wanted to know what cute notes my friends would leave me.
