15 Struggles Of 80 Degree Weather In October

If you're like me and you're from North Carolina, or any of the surrounding states, you know the struggle of still having 80 degree weather in the month of October. How am I supposed to partake in fall favorites like pumpkin spice lattes and over-sized sweaters when it's still warm enough to take a boat ride in my bathing suit over fall break?! If you can relate to any of the following, you've probably experienced this annoying phenomenon.

1. It's too late in the season for white pants and too hot for dark pants and corduroys.

2. Even when it's 80 degrees, people judge you for wearing shorts in October.

3. You want to bring all your fall and winter clothes back from fall break, but it's not cold enough for them yet.

4. It's starting to be cooler in the mornings, but by the end of your 10 AM class you are sweating in a long sleeve T-shirt.

5. You catch yourself judging people wearing boots already because you don't understand how they aren't burning up in them.

6. You secretly wish you were also wearing boots.

7. You ask yourself -- socks or flops? -- on a daily basis.

8. You are ready to trade in your iced coffee for something hot, but you can't drink it without breaking a sweat.

9. You have to strip off your layers as soon as you get to class because you're sweating from the walk there.

10. You get excited when it's cold one day, but it's hot again the next.

11. You can't wear any of the new clothes you buy because they are all meant for colder weather.

12. You blast your AC when you get in the car, but are freezing two minutes later.

13. The same thing happens in your room.

14. You are familiar with the concept of a light jacket at night.

15. You have no idea when the temperatures will finally start to drop.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
