The Struggle Of Being One Of The Bros

Always the one girl in a crowd of guys.

The Struggle Of Being One Of The Bros

You love your boys, those guys you call your best friends, and practically your brothers. Life would not be the same without seeing them every day, or being around for their funniest moments. But, sometimes, being a bro is extremely hard, because after all -- you're a girl.

They've seen you at your worst.

Boys do not care what you look like. Every time you're with them you're wearing sweats and the biggest T-shirt you own.

You're extremely good at looking like a slob.

When it's time to go out and look like a normal girl, it becomes nearly impossible. Mascara? What is that?

You think inappropriate jokes are funny.

When they watch "South Park" or "Family Guy," you find yourself laughing and entertained. This is not who you used to be! What happened to you?!

They want you to invite girls over. But...

They tell you they need to hang out with more girls so they think you're the one who needs to invite the girls over, but the problem is you're always with them. You can count on one hand of how many close girl friends you have.

You're no longer phased by anything gross.

Boys are gross. A part of you will forever be changed because you've heard and seen the gross things that they do.

They forget you're a girl.

When they beat up on each other, that means they're going to beat up on you, too. The boys will mess with you and throw their sass in your face. They forget you're a girl because you've bro'd out with them so much it's actually funny how much you don't even resemble a girl to them.

But the best part is they'll always have your back.

Being one of the bros means they will always stand up for you. After all, you are one of them.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
