Social media has become a universal tool that has shaped the world in terms of creating connections and easier means of conversation all throughout the world. Since the origin beginning with the likes of Myspace, we got our first taste of what it was really like to interact with people and actually utilize a page to a liking that we'd favor. Shortly after that, we got introduced to Facebook, which gave a totally different element than the other social media outlets. It gave me an enhanced professional feel when I first started trickling with the site. Around the same time, Twitter emerged to the masses. This was refreshing from any previous site as it presented a more on the go feeling when using it. We also got Instagram, which can be appeared as a photo diary that illustrates your story.

With all these various outlets, social media has become prominent in today's era; here are some pros and cons of social media today:

It can help you achieve goals

With social media giving us the ability to contact someone that's in another state or even out of the country, we're able to travel our conversation without actually moving. This has been an avenue for many and has helped numerous amounts of people reach their goals by the power of using the social media tool.

You can get distracted

Although social media sites can be entertainment and a way of keeping up with everything, you can easily get lost in it which can sometimes be a terrible thing. We can blindside ourselves from actually working on assignments by procrastinating just from indulging in social media. We often utilize it as a pass time and we have to learn to use it in moderation if we want to be successful users of the social media community.


It Shapes You For Maturation

All aspects of media have outlets that provide an outlook of tutelage. We experience news gathering and other information that is supplied through these different feeds. Often time we see Twitter as a providence of being an escapism due to the humor it supplies and various accounts that are worth following, but it also can give itself life lessons as well. Learning what not to do in different situations you witness, even on Facebook, social media reassures you in more ways than one.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating.
