I know I've written about him before -- but Matt Bellassai is one of my favorite people on the internet and has recently announced a new series. I'm extremely excited. Matt became famous for his hit series "Whine About It," which ran for two seasons on BuzzFeed. This series consisted of Matt drinking an entire bottle of wine and then complaining about day-to-day aspects of life: pants, annoying people to text with, people on airplanes, and office holiday parties. This series, while well loved by the public, was often a source of frustration for Bellassai's coworkers. Matt typically got drunk around noon, but did not get to leave work until after 5 PM. This gave BuzzFeed employees several hours of dealing with an intoxicated coworker who has no sense of the term "inside voice." Typically, a drunk Matt performed experiments with eggs, attended company meetings, and carried around a large inflatable slice of pizza. He also liked to dance, eat, and had been known to request an office beaver.

For his work, Bellassai was nominated for a 2016 People's Choice Award for Favorite Social Media Star. When the person presenting the award announced Bellassai's victory, the camera showed the viewing public the wrong person -- a celebrity vocal coach. Bellassai's victory earned him the attention of an agent, whom he ultimately left BuzzFeed for. The internet was saddened to hear of Bellassai's departure from BuzzFeed, but eagerly anticipated what would come next.
Recently, Bellassai released a video announcing his new series "TBH." While similar in form to "Whine About It," as he is still drinking heavily while filming, he is now giving life advice while living a life without wearing pants. "TBH" is looking to be an excellent show so far, but only time will tell. Personally, I am elated that Matt will be back doing what he does best--complaining drunkenly for my entertainment.
