It's that time of year again, and the stress of packing is weighing heavily on you. You're bound to go through the usual stages of panic.
First, you're in packing denial.
It can't nearly be time to pull out that suitcase! You just finished unpacking, for god's sake!
Once you've moved past denial, there's the moment when you consider that maybe you should start soon...
Plus, it gives you an excuse to not put away your clean laundry--just tell mom it can go straight into the boxes.
Then you laugh at that thought.
After all, you still have an entire week to get it done.
You finally start the process four days before you leave.
And it's as hellish as you remember.
Each day you make a tiny bit of progress, but you're still spending most of your time with your friends.
Priorities, am I right?
Every time your mom yells at you that you need to pack, you reassure her that you're almost done.
But to her, having 12 things in a suitcase does not constitute "almost done."
It's the night before and you're still convinced that you haven't procrastinated and that you're completely in control of the packing situation.
You will soon admit that this is not the case.
Sheer panic takes over.
And you're convinced that you'll just head back to school with nothing, because that would be easier.
You've finally finished, but you definitely overpacked.
Seriously, did you need seven black dresses? Obviously, yes.
