As the semester winds down, we prepare for the holy grail: winter break. We worked hard to make it through dead week and finals week, and the end is finally in sight. It's time for a month and a half of total freedom and there’s a series of emotions that inevitably occur.
- Excitement. It's two days before the break, the countdown is on: when your tests are winding down and you are packing up your dorm for a few weeks. The feeling can only be described as:
2. Sadness. But when it's time to actually leave campus, the emotions start hitting.
3.Reuniting with home friends and reliving some high school memories is bringing on the feels.
4.Back at home, it's a free for all of all the things we can't do at school. The rules are more lax, time to break out the string lights and candles.
5. Suddenly, the excitement has worn off and immense boredom hits. Sleeping without a roommate was fun at first, but now its weird. Accidentally bringing up inside jokes from school has happened too many times.
6.Fear for the new semester. It's setting in that the freedom won't last forever, and it is devastating.
7. Returning to school with mixed emotions. Happy to see everyone again, emotional about the cold. Emotional about the workload.
