We've waited a lifetime for this!

The largest milestone a college kid looks forward to. It is the best birthday and in some ways, the beginning of officially being an adult. Turning 21-years-old... Ahh I've been waiting for the day since I "accidentally" dipped my pacifier in my grandma's Manhattan. Buh-bye fake IDs and hello bouncers because this girl is finally legal! Or- at least I will be in a few days. The excitement of turning 21-years-old is indescribable.

The days of having a fake ID are over.No more worrying about being rejected by a bouncer and no more fear of being kicked out of the bar. When you first received your fake ID, you felt like you were invincible but imagine actually being of age? Do you- because you officially don't have to be anyone else when you hit up the bar scene once your 21st birthday comes.

This is how turning 21 must feel like:

The party has begun! You won't be able to get me to a bar fast enough. Should I glue my REAL ID to my forehead? I swear, I am actually 21 this time!

You're in. You're 21 and you're in a bar ordering a drink. Play it cool. You're allowed to legally do this now...

And then it hits you. You're the sh*t. Big man on campus now, ordering your own drinks while using your own ID. Own the cockiness, you've been waiting long enough for this moment.

OK, you'll most likely regret this in the morning but who cares right now. Drunk you is taking over.

Chug! Chug! Chug!

And then, it all catches up to you. You feel like death- no wait, scratch that, you feel like you died, came back to life, to then die again. This hangover will be worse than all your previous ones combined.

You'll vow to never put your body through that torture again. Even thinking of alcohol will make you sick, until night falls of course because Hey! You're 21! Enjoy it!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
