Every year towards the middle of July the fun starts. We start to see commercials on tv, sales and discounts at Wal-Mart, and the old favorite: school shopping. These are the true stages of the back to school life.
1. The End Of Summer
It's the end of the summer and not only are you completely bored but you're stuck in a vortex of never ending changes. You know schools about to start. You know that a big storm is coming. But, you're ready because you've just finished an entire series on Netflix and new episodes come on during school. So if you can just push on, you get to a new season
2. The Shopping
Let's be honest we all love shopping. We all love the fresh new pencils, pens, notebooks, and ahhh despair. Wait, what? No but really the school shopping warns you it's getting closer. No longer does that new season of your favorite show give you sweet relief.
3. The Pre-Game
We all do this. We have to mentally prepare ourselves for the oncoming questions about life, summer, and our pets. But lets not pretend this is a good thing. Because if you're anything like a social anxiety wreck like me, you'll be petrified of the impending anxiety attack. So being super anxious you prepare, you pep talk, and you get your stuff together.
4. Game day
Well you're tired. Exhausted really, you got too pumped and ended up staying up all night. You get dressed putting on the clothes you specifically bought for this grand day, and you head out. You don't get breakfast because who does? You get to class realize the professor is super strict, you didn't need that ninety dollar book and you're $30,000 in debt. So f*ck this day.
These are the true stages of going to school. The ultimate sacrifice for a decent education.
